Topping these with chopped "Reese's" is totally optional...as the two homemade layers taste just like the "real thing"!
Peanut Butter Layer:
1 cube (1/2 cup) butter, melted
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup crushed graham cracker crumbs (done in food processor)
1 cup powdered sugar
Line 9x9" square pan with foil or parchment. Mix ingredients together until well-combined. Spread into pan.
Chocolate Layer:
2/3 cup milk chocolate chips
2 Tbl. creamy peanut butter
Reese's Peanut Butter cups, frozen and cut into tiny pieces...optional
Put chocolate chips and peanut butter into bowl and melt in microwave on half-power, stirring every 45 seconds. Stir until smooth. Don't overcook or you'll ruin the chocolate. Pour over bottom layer and spread out evenly. Wait a few minutes and sprinkle Reese's cups over the top, if you want. Chill until firm. Lift out parchment/foil. Cut into tiny squares, as they are rich!
