2 cups flour
2 cups water
1 cup salt
4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 Tbl. vegetable oil
Food coloring, as desired
In large pot, cook and stir all ingredients (except coloring) with wooden spoon over medium heat. Add coloring when small, wet balls begin to form. Continue to cook until large, dry ball is formed. Turn out onto counter sprayed with non-stick spray or oiled. Knead dough until stiff and well-mixed. Store at room temperature in sealed container.
